SOS (The SoHo of the 70’s)!

Spring Street Books (photo: Bob Edelson source: sohobooks.net)

After much encouragement from readers (for which I am eternally grateful), I have decided to write a proposal for a book based on The SoHo Memory Project.  Every good book needs a great title to pique a reader’s interest, and I am stuck.  I can’t think of a title that sums up everything we’ve discussed over the last year and change.  So I am writing today to ask for your help.  If anyone out there has any ideas for titles, please send them to me, either by writing a comment below or by emailing me at sohomemory@gmail.com.  Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. If you happen to know an agent or publisher who would be interested in this project, please let me know!

The title of your blog is a very good one for a book, I think.
THE SOHO MEMORY PROJECT. Sounds good.

I think so too, but I am afraid that the word “project” will scare people away. But maybe I should just go for it! Thanks, Marie.

Two ideas come to mind immediately. Not catchy, but right on target. I’ll leave embellishments to others:

    THE BIRTH OF SOHO

    SOHO: THE EARLY YEARS

    Hope this gets things started.

Good for you. Go for it!! Great idea.

How about, SoHo’s Seventies as a title? It has good alliteration. Keeping it simple is always wise.

The Soho Memory Project has my vote. I think the word “project” will draw people to the book. Whatever title you choose, I am sure the book will be a great success.

Thank you for getting my early NY work out to the public. when l produced them, back in early ’90s, pix from ’70s&’80s, the internet was just getting started so they never got attention they should have, tho sold well in NYC. if decide to do your book, maybe we could work together on it.
